About me

I am a postdoctoral researcher at San Diego State University, currently working with Dr. Marshal Hedin. In 2014, I completed my Ph.D. in Behavior, Ecology, Evolution and Systematics at the University of Maryland, with Dr. Jeffrey W. Shultz. Currently, I am supported by a National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship in Biology.

I am an active member of the American Arachnological Society and Society for Integrative and Comparative Biology. I’ve also volunteered with the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center!

I love to travel. As part of my research on Japanese leiobunine harvestmen with Dr. Nobuo Tsurusaki, I’ve been lucky enough to visit Japan twice for collection and research!

I was also introduced to Taiwan in 2012 when I attended the International Congress for Arachnology in Kenting, and fell in love with the food, art, and design I saw there. Here’s to many more future trips!
